We are just back today from a Christian conference in Buxton, what a superb time we had.

We met some fantastic people, had great teaching and saw the Lord do many wonderful things.

More to follow once I get back into things!

The Cullen Skink was great…

Indeed it was, even if I say so myself!!

Been Busy…

I’m taking a break from studying for my last 2 MIP exams by making some Cullen Skink. The tatties are boiling in the milk so thought I’d write a blog, been a while….

So I’ve been really busy with work and church. Healing Rooms preparations are coming on and I’ve been installed as Interim Pastor, so very busy…

Had great time the other night praying for a friends Mum’s eyesight. It improved straight away, what a witness to my friend and his mum.

He had been very active telling people that I healed his back, so after we prayed for his mum I got a real chance to tell him it’s not me who is doing the healing but Jesus. We spoke about the Lord and the power inside every believer. I real feel he is going to be saved soon….

Love the way God works…

I’ve removed names from this blog, however you’ll love this account of how God moves and works even when we are not aware of it!

A lady (let’s say A) emailed our church website asking if she could take her sister (let’s say B) to what seemed like a mid-week service. She was coming up to visit her sister from a city in England and thought it would be nice to go to church with her.

A gave me a phone after I replied that we in fact did not have a service that night, however if she wished I would open the church and get a few of the guys round to have a coffee and some fellowship with her and her sister.

So after our AGM on Wednesday I asked 3 folk in the fellowship (I thought in a random manner!) to come for a chat with A and B last night. X, Y and Z all agreed, so last night A and B turned up at the church along with X, Y and Z.

A had moved away a number of years ago, B still lives in town. I was very surprised when we all got there to find out that A and B knew X, and knew her well!

It was also amazing to find that B worked in the same line of work as me, A used to as well.

As we chatted over coffee trying to put B at ease we found that an ex-colleague and friend of B used to live near Y, Y is still in contact with B’s friends.

And then the best one…

When A was telling us about her church, in a large city in Southern England, Z piped up that his sister also goes to that church!

So what I had thought was going to be a meeting of people who barely knew each other turned out to be people with a lot in common who put B at ease allowing her to enjoy a chat and fellowship in a setting (ie in a church without getting “20 questions”) that she was not used to.

So B was in a church and not under pressure.

A will go home encouraged that B has been in church, and met some local Christians.

X, Y and Z went home feeling like the Lord had used them to plant a seed in B’s life. Praise God for the obediance of X, Y and Z in coming out on a cold, dark night when they didn’t really have to! But they were in God’s plans last night!

And I just thank God that even when I wasn’t listening to Him, somehow He guided me to choose the 3 correct people from our fellowship to meet A and B.

Oh yes, you could argue it was one huge coincidence, well the work of the Lord can look like that sometimes. But when you see it again and again and again you realise it is not chance!

We serve a might God who knows what He is doing!

I had another lesson last night in not to be amazed when God does wonderful things!

Thank You Lord!

Great Message

Nunsy spoke in church today about how all of our sins have been forgiven.

She spoke of how Jesus went to the cross once for our sins, he bore our sins once, he died and rose once.

All our sins were dealt with once, sins of the past, present and future.

What a liberating message, hear it on the PTH website soon….

What a coincidence!

A slightly tongue in cheek title, however that’s what the world will say about this….

At a prayer meeting on Monday night a friend suddenly said “I don’t know if this means anything to anybody, but the Lord just said fuzzy right eye to me”. And indeed it meant nothing to anyone….

Then on Tuesday I was speaking to my mate whose back was healed last week (see previous entry). He said that he’d been telling lots of people about his back and in fact told his mum. She had replied can he heal my eye.

At this point I asked my mate to stop and asked him if that would be her fuzzy right eye. And guess what? It was!

The Lord justs amazes me! What are the chances of that being a coincidence? Absolutely none, that’s what!

He gave a word to Jim to encourage my friend (and encourage me at the same time). Awesome!

Lesson in Obedience

As part of the process of joining a Healing Room the applicants have to send an application in writing to the Local Directors.

Recently my mother-in-law sent in an application to Nunsy and I, and what she did is a lesson in true obedience that we can all learn from!

I found the envelope that the application came in while I was tidying up this morning. It was addressed to Vic and Nanette Cameron. That may not sound important, (as that’s my name!) however my mother-in-law has never called me Vic. NEVER! And she would never send a letter to Vic!

But at the bottom of the application form it said “return to Vic and Nanette Cameron” and that’s what she did.

I think that it is just wonderful. It’s great that she is willing to submit and put herself under the authority of her daughter and son-in-law in the first place but to be that obedient is just marvellous. I’ve always know she is a Godly woman but this just underlines it for me!!

I’m Exhausted

I feel like I’ve played football for 90 minutes and not just watched it!

Scotland 3 – 1 Ukraine

Amazing, we’ve just beaten the world cup quarter finalists. And we are top of the group which includes the 2 world cup finalists, France and Italy!

I’ve never seen a run of results like this from Scotland in all of my 40 years…..and boy am I loving it!!

My God is so fantastic and so faithful. He keeps revealing His mighty power to me….

I was in Edinburgh today prior to an important work meeting. I had stayed down the night before along with a work colleague and friend.

He was really troubled this morning during breakfast with a very sore back! My God fixes backs!

On the way back to our rooms to get our bags I asked if he would like prayer for his back. He said yes. I prayed over his back in the mighty name of Jesus and he was healed instantly. The pain left him there and then, God took his pain away.

My mate was amazed and has been telling people all day “he touched my back, talked to God for a minute and a half and the pain went away”. What a simple yet powerful testimony.

Pray for my mate (no names, but God knows him) that he will truly see Who healed him. That he will come to know Jesus for himself.

I thank God for His awesome trust in us that we can pray in His name for our friends and colleagues.

I praise God that His name was being used in our main office today, and not in the wrong way.

I thank you Lord for healing my mate…..
